A simple guide to ordering the perfectly fitted wallpaper

How to properly measure a wall?

We care about making the wallpaper ordering process simple and stress-free for you. That’s why we have prepared a short guide that will show you step by step how to measure your wall before placing an order. Whether you have a classic wall, slants, or recesses – our tips will help you plan everything well and enjoy the perfect fit of the wallpaper in your interior.

WHY ACCURATE WALL MEASUREMENT MATTERS?

An accurate measurement of the wall is the foundation of a successful wallpaper order. This allows us to perfectly match the print size to your space, avoiding unsightly pattern shifts or unnecessary material waste. Precise dimensions enable us to prepare the wallpaper "made to measure" – in the form of ready-made strips that fit perfectly to the wall, even if it is not perfectly straight.

#1

Measure each wall separately, taking obstacles into account.

Measure the exact width and height of each wall you want to cover with wallpaper. To the  total dimension, add 2.5cm / 1in on each side (a total of +5 cm) to ensure full edge coverage and to account for any wall irregularities or minor measurement errors.

If there are windows, doors, recesses, or other fixed elements on the wall – measure their height, width, and distance from the floor and the edge of the wall.

You do not need to subtract them from the wall measurement – just mark them on the sketch. This will help us properly plan the pattern.

#2

Slopes and walls by the stairs

In the case of walls with slopes (e.g., in the attic) or inclined surfaces near stairs, provide the maximum width and maximum height of the wall.

The wallpaper will be prepared as a rectangle, which you will adjust during the installation stage.

#3

Non-standard surfaces? No problem

If you have a surface with an unusual shape to cover – e.g. arches, columns – mark them on the sketch and provide exact dimensions.

The more details, the better the wallpaper fit.
